Depart early from Dar es Salaam by road or light aircraft. Reach Mikumi National Park, often called the "little Serengeti," known for large herds of elephants, giraffes, zebras, and lions.
Activities: Afternoon game drive through Mkata floodplains.
Meals: Lunch, Dinner
Overnight: Lodge or tented camp inside or near the park.
Spend the full day exploring the park with morning and evening game drives. Watch for elands, buffalo, hippos, and maybe even a leopard. Mikumi offers excellent photographic scenery and is perfect for slow, relaxed game viewing.
