Landing Safari began with guides and planners who grew up beneath these same skies — and a conviction that the best itineraries come from people who live where they lead.
Landing Safari was founded by a small team of Tanzanian guides who were tired of watching foreign-run operators sell trips through Tanzania without ever really knowing it.
We started with a single vehicle, a handful of trusted camps, and a rule that has never changed: every itinerary is built around the traveller, not a fixed template. That rule scaled with us — through the northern circuit, into the southern parks, up the slopes of Kilimanjaro, and across the channel to Zanzibar.
Today our planners, guides, drivers and mountain crew work as one team, coordinated from our Arusha office, so a single point of contact carries your trip from first enquiry to the final airport transfer.
Landing Safari opens with one Land Cruiser and three fixed relationships with community camps around Tarangire and Ngorongoro.
Our planning team completes ground visits to every lodge and camp across Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Tarangire and Lake Manyara.
A dedicated mountain crew joins Landing Safari, bringing certified guides across all five major summit routes.
A permanent Zanzibar team lets us extend safaris seamlessly into beach stays across Nungwi, Paje and Stone Town.
Safari, summit and shoreline — planned and guided by one coordinated Landing Safari team, for travellers from around the world.
To design safaris, climbs and beach escapes that reflect Tanzania as our team actually knows it — unhurried, specific and deeply personal.
To be the safari company travellers recommend to each other — known for expertise, honesty and journeys that exceed the brochure.
Every route we sell is one our own team has travelled — and one that puts money back into the communities and conservancies we pass through.
Ground-verified routes, camps and guides across every region we sell.
Realistic itineraries — we won't oversell a route or a season.
One planner sees your trip through, from enquiry to departure.
Conservancy-linked camps and community partnerships throughout the circuit.

Every Landing Safari guide is licensed, trained in field first aid, and has spent years reading the parks we drive through daily.
We prioritise community-owned conservancies and camps that reinvest directly in the land and people around them.
